Well, I've been on a bit of a Sonic kick lately after replaying SA2B. This was it. The game that rekindled my sonic fandom when I found it back when I got a Gamecube. As angsty and relatively dark (for a sonic game) as it was I really liked the story. Just thoughtful enough to make you think, while not so convoluted as to make you're head hurt. (that award belongs to Sonic 06' , which also wins glitchiest sonic game, ever.) anyway, You're probably wondering why I choose the song Supporting Me, over say Live and Learn. Well first off. Live and Learn always felt really stiff to me. and the lyrics just don't reflect the story enough for me. Open your Heart felt right for Sonic Adventure because it reflect the emotions the characters and players where feeling about Perfect Chaos. (IE that it needed to open it's heart, so that it could free itself from the confusion and Anger it was feeling) Live and Learn.. Just doesn't cut it form me.

Anyway I was looking at different music from the game (again, on a sonic kick right now) and I knew that quite a few of shadows levels and bosses in SA2 had lyrics (hard to understand most of the time, but they where there) I looked up The Biolizard boss theme, which is Supporting Me and I suddenly found, in my opinion, the best song to go with SA2. because while it says SONIC Adventure 2, SA2 is mostly about Mr. Midnight Needlemouse himself, Shadow. And this song, kinda sums up his characterization pretty well in the game, and sounds like a last ditch plea to Maria to lend him her strength for what he knows he must do.

Anyway, I was trying to get the most important quotes on the image, as well as my all time favorite from the japanese translation. (The english translated the first line as "destroying planets"... but if your going for such an ostentatious name as ECLIPSE CANNON, It better wipe stars out of existence, plus I think that what they were going for to begin with... you know, because the cannon would cause a permanent eclipse... tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php…
